I have recently discovered a brilliant sales tool for Copywriters who work in sales – and it’s from Roy Morgan Australia.
Roy Morgan are a research company and is “an independent Australian social and political market research and public opinion statistics company headquartered in Melbourne, Victoria. It operates nationally as Roy Morgan and internationally as Roy Morgan International.” (source: Wikipedia)
You will find this new series of weekly videos on YouTube and they are hosted by CEO, Michele Levine from Roy Morgan. Michele talks about consumer and business confidence in Australia amongst other topics and it essentially a video version of their press release.
The videos are short they are actually an interesting 6-8 minute watch – giving you a quick insight into the leaning towards certain issues that members of the public or business owners may have – and they will definitely help you when writing ads, or selling advertising. Key insights into important issues of the day and more can help to give you the edge over other sales people or writing copy that strikes true with listeners.
In your country there may very well be a similar statistically minded research company who do this – and it is REALLY worth watching these videos or reading the press releases to give you at least a bit of an insight into what is going on in listeners/clients minds this week. It’s worth spending some time looking online to see if there is something similar you can use.
