The latest issue of Radio World beamed directly into my inbox this week and I was interested to read the cover story about mentoring – one of the things I am very passionate about in radio.
I have even written about mentoring new radio staff in ‘Radio And Production’ magazine – read that HERE.
Anyway – back to this issue of Radio World – the top articles to read in my humble opinion are:
- WorldDAB tackling driver distractions and the proper use of graphics in your stations DAB signal, very interesting indeed.
- NAB’s new headquarters in Washington – the photos inside the now fitted out building look amazing.
- James Careless’ article on the Evolution of Emergency Radio was great as I used to collect small hand-held emergency radios until a few years ago when a collector took them all of my hands.
- And then Mark Persons article on Mentorship was brilliant. Tick, tick, tick – every single thing Mark says is gold in the article – really worth reading and it is relevant to everyone in radio – not just techs.
And that’s it. Catch you next time.
