Because I was so blown away by last weeks issue of Ad-Week – I totally forgot that this month’s issue of Radio Ink was out – so let’s correct that right now with a fast review of the contents of the August issue.

Deborah Parenti’s ‘Publishers Beat’ is an interesting read about localism during times of turmoil. I totally agree with her assessment too!
Roy H Williams article on ‘Ad Writing Advice from 2,400 Years Ago’ is inspiring and soooo spot on – read it today!
Localism is more under the microscope in the Rob Dumke article on a local car dealership advertising with their local radio station. Small, Medium and Large market sales reps and copywriters should take note!
Cover story about how Dana Cortez Wants It All is an interesting read about a future on-air star and someone who has done the hard work to get where she is now – and is not prepared to just sit there – she is out there hustling and learning – something every on-air jock should do!
The Best Programming Directors in Radio rears its head again and it is an interesting read of the profiles of the PD’s but honestly Radio Ink (apologies to the editor of Radio Ink – Ed Ryan – I have to ask again…) “What about the best radio copywriters?”
Overall a great issue with something for everyone in radio. Well done again to the Radio Ink team!
