Promos: Why is your Street Cruiser Vitally Important?

Posted on 21 March 202321 March 2023 By earlp

Why are some radio station street vehicles (cruisers) so dull? When this is such a vital thing to have done for radio – This week I take a bit of a look at why it is so important…

Signage on a radio street cruiser is important because it helps to increase the visibility and recognition of the radio station and its advertising clients.

The street cruiser is a mobile billboard that travels through various neighbourhoods, events, and locations, reaching a wide range of potential customers.

No matter if it is driven by your prize patrol people, or a sales team member – the signage helps to establish your station as a viable presence in your area.

It can help to capture the attention of passers-by, or business owners. I have always liked the idea of a business card holder on the window of these cars with sales reps business cards – or at the least a QR code taking prospective clients to your ‘Advertise With Us’ page.

It can communicate important information about the radio station or a specific advertising client or major sponsor, and generate brand awareness and recognition for both of you.

Here are some reasons why signage on your radio street cruiser is important:

1.              Increased brand awareness: Signage on the street cruiser can help to increase brand awareness and recognition among the audience. This can be especially effective for new or lesser-known brands that may not have a strong presence in the market.

2.              Targeted advertising: The street cruiser can be used to target specific neighbourhood’s or events, reaching a highly targeted audience. The signage on the street cruiser can communicate a specific message or offer that is relevant to the audience in that area. Or a specific promotion – target your message and your audience for better results.

3.              Mobile advertising: The street cruiser is a mobile billboard that can travel to various locations, reaching a wider range of potential customers. The signage on the street cruiser can be seen by people who may not have otherwise been exposed to the advertising message.

4.              Cost-effective: Signage on the street cruiser can be a cost-effective advertising solution compared to other forms of advertising, such as TV or print ads.

5.              Continuous advertising: The street cruiser is constantly on the move, providing continuous advertising exposure throughout the day. The signage on the street cruiser can be seen by people at various times and locations, increasing the likelihood of a positive response.

Overall, signage on a radio street cruiser is an important component of an effective advertising campaign, helping to increase visibility, generate brand awareness, and reach a wide range of potential customers.

Making sure that the vehicle is in the colours of the station logo works even better than a plain white van – and for an added win – if you are giving away a vehicle – make sure it is in the station colours too!
